Pulses Splitting & Processing Industry (Pvt) Ltd is a Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka approved enterprise, and the only B.O.I‑approved operation across the pulses splitting & processing industry in the country. Since 2007, PSPIL has built a reputation on one idea: pulses processed with the discipline of an export-grade factory, not a commodity mill.
How it's made

Nine fully automated lines, one continuous line of sight from raw material to export-ready bag.
Sourcing Raw Materials
Whole red lentils are sourced from trusted growers across Australia, Canada and the United States, selected for consistent moisture content and grain size before a single sack enters the mill.
In-House Milling
Grain moves through PSPIL's own milling lines, where husks are conditioned and loosened in preparation for splitting: a step kept fully in-house for consistent quality control.
Splitting Machine
Dedicated splitting lines (seven of the plant's nine automated lines) decorticate and split the lentils cleanly in two, the step that turns whole "football" lentils into the split red lentils PSPIL is best known for.
Color Sortex Machine
Every batch passes through optical color-sortex sorting to remove discoloured grain and foreign matter, the final checkpoint before packing into export-ready 25kg bags.
